The Passion of Joan of Arc (1929, Societe Generale Des Films). 27 x 41". Printed for American release. Framed one-sheet poster. A 9" vertical tear at upper center; a peanut sized loss in lower right quadrant.

A scarce poster for one of the great French classics. Maria Falconetti gave a legendary performance, seeming to glow from within while projecting all the confusion and ultimate faith young Joan must have felt. The recent restoration and re-release of this film has broadened its audience beyond the walls of film schools and its fame is justifiably back on the rise.

**Please note: the scratch as it appears in the photograph is in the shrink wrap only. There is a 4" long narrow abrasion across the dark hair, but the poster is in no way damaged as it appears in the photograph!**. B.
